13 puppies for Christmas
An Augusta family got an early Christmas present Sunday morning when their Rottweiler gave birth to 13 live puppies which is a rarity in a litter that size.

AUGUSTA, Ga.--An Augusta family got an early Christmas present Sunday morning when their Rottweiler gave birth to 13 live puppies which is a rarity in a litter that size.

Sherry Tipton said her 2-year-old Rottweiler Passion started delivering around 4:30 Sunday morning and didn't stop until one this afternoon.

Tipton said when she called the vet to let them know how big the litter was they were surprised too.

Tipton said this is Passion's first and last litter.
