News 12 has learned the former deputy superintendent for Linda Schrenko won't be sentenced as expected next week.
Merle Temple, of Evans, pleaded guilty to three felony charges, including conspiracy, money laundering and fraud.
Prosecutors say he was part of a scheme to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars meant for Georgia schoolchildren and divert it to Ms. Schrenko's failing gubernatorial campaign.
Temple was supposed to be sentenced August 10, but it's been postponed twice, and there is no new sentencing date set.
