22-year-old Robert Watson, Jr. was found dead on his living room floor Saturday morning.

The coroner's office confirmed Watson died of a single gunshot wound to the back of his head.

Investigators are still asking questions as to how or why this all happened. Meanwhile, neighbors tell us Watson just moved here about four weeks ago and has been a pretty quiet neighbor.

"He was a really, really nice man," said one neighbor.

A neighbor who's lived in the area almost all his life says he's never seen anything like this before.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder.

"We don't want to alarm people, and we have a responsibility not to alarm people. But if anyone sees someone in the neighborhood that they know doesn't belong, simply call 911 and the sheriff's office and the North Augusta Department of Public Safety will respond," says Lt. Michael Frank, public information officer for the Aiken County Sheriff's Department.

Ballistics tests are pending to determine the caliber of weapon that was used.

Lt. Elwell with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office said Monday that they are still investigating several leads in the case, but no arrests have been made.

Watson was found dead in his home Saturday morning around 8:20 a.m. by a family member.

He had only lived at his Carolina Springs residence for about four weeks. Neighbors tell News 12 they heard between one and three gunshots around 7 o'clock Saturday morning.

"I came out here and found out his cousin found him dead in the living room," said neighbor Daniel Harris. "His keys were still in the door like he just opened the door and fell down in the living room, and they found him shot. Neighbors up the road say they heard three shots."

Anyone with any information is urged to call Crime Stoppers of the Midlands at 888-559-TIPS. Any information that leads to an arrest could receive a reward of $50 to $1000.
