Reports say Emmanuel Stewart severely scalded his daughter in a bathtub.
He told deputies he was giving his nine-month-old daughter a bath and noticed her skin started to peel.
The girl was taken to the hospital, where doctors found second and third degree burns over 80 percent of her body.
Stewart is currently in custody.
