Body found at Lock and Dam identified

We now know the name of the man found yesterday at Augusta's Lock and Dam.

News 12 has learned 25-year-old Ian or Mikell Mosley of Gaffney, South Carolina died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Fisherman found Mosley's body yesterday.

Investigators are still looking into why Mosley was in Augusta, what he was doing here and how he ended up in the Savannah River.

Investigators say Mosley is from the Gaffney, SC and Spartanburg, SC area. The investigation shows that the victim was in the Augusta area sometime late Monday night and he was driving a 1999 white in color Lexus.

Deputies are attempting to establish a connection between the victim and the CSRA. They are asking anyone who knew the victim or may have come into contact with the victim while in the area to contact the Sheriff's Office at 706-821-1080.
