AUGUSTA, Ga.--- Both the Richmond County Democratic and Republican parties say today is the final push, but they'll keep working hard until the polls close Tuesday.
"I'm a big Obama supporter, and I wanted to get some Obama merchandise," said one caller to the Richmond County Democratic headquarters. They've been getting calls like this all day. But it's not just the phones that are ringing. People are still stopping by to pick up Obama signs and bumper stickers.
"We know. We can feel it, that the Democrats are going to be victorious tomorrow, I mean big time," said Lowell Greenbaum, chairman of the Richmond County Democratic Party.
Their job right now, making sure everyone gets to the polls on Tuesday. Greenbaum says they'll even have volunteers at the polls helping people waiting in line to be patient and handing out food and water.
"We've got promises that everyone is going to call 30 people tonight. 30 of your friends. Did you vote? Did you vote? Did you vote? Get out and vote. It's raining, so what! Take an umbrella out," Greenbaum said.
Our next stop, the Republican headquarters. They stayed busy making phone calls reminding people to vote.
"We're really excited. It's down to the wire, and nationally we think we're going to be able to pull it out where we think there are a lot of people who have not been polled and are out voting and will vote tomorrow," Republican Party, Sherry Barnes said.
She says they'll be posting 120 John McCain signs before the polls open. And even the rain didn't stop this campaign team from putting up more signs.
"Have we done every single thing that we can possibly do? Have we put up the last sign that we can get up? Have we walked the last neighborhood? Have we bought the last advertising spot available," (R) Congressional Candidate, John Stone said.
It's a lot for both parties to think about and they'll be thinking about it until all the votes are in.
More than 22 volunteers will be taking people to the polls Tuesday that aren't able to drive. For a free ride to the polls in Richmond County, call 706-722-8111.
