A judge ruled John Couey's confession about the kidnap, rape and murder of Jessica Lunsford is not admissible in court. However, the discovery of her body can be used as evidence.
Couey confessed to the crimes to citrus county detectives after being captured in Augusta.
He asked for a lawyer, but didn't get one.
9-year-old Jessica was found buried alive in March 2005.
Couey's trial is set to begin in July.
