There was a hit and run accident in downtown Augusta Thursday night, and it happened right in front of Richmond County deputies.
The driver of a silver Toyota Camry reportedly hit two other cars on Lucky Street June 29. That's off of 15th Street in Augusta.
The driver then led officers on a chase, but managed to lose them.
Deputies say they aren't sure whether the car is stolen.
