Folks in Columbia County will have to find a new place to dump their trash.
The county is closing its Baker Place Road landfill this Saturday, July 1.
Instead, you can use the transfer station at the intersection of Columbia Road and Chamberlin Road, the Richmond County landfill on Deans Bridge Road, and the McDuffie County transfer station on Messenia Road.
