Based on a tip called in by a citizen, Steven Griffin was taken into custody on the 800 block of Metcalf Street at approximately 5:00 Friday, June 30. At the time Griffin was taken into custody, he was suffering from two gunshot wounds. Griffin is in the process of being interviewed and treated.
Griffin was sought as a person of interest in the murder of John Grimes, which occurred at 12th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard on June 24. Griffin was injured in that shooting.
