Aiken Public Safety officers are trying to find out whose body was found on the 500 block of York Street on Friday, June 23.
Aiken County coroner Tim Carlton tells News 12 the body of the white woman was lying outside a home.
An autopsy did not show a cause or manner of death.
Investigators are now trying to identify her through dental records, and they are treating the case as a crime.
