Georgia governor declares Level One drought

Our brown grass and dried up fields aren't looking good.

Georgia hasn't seen a drought in several years, but that's changing. This year, late Wednesday afternoon, June 21, the governor declared a Level One drought statewide.

That means no outdoor water use from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, when evaporation is at its highest..

Our rainfall totals for this area are about three inches below normal right now.
