New school buses will be available in South Carolina as students return to classes this fall. This is the state's first major bus purchase in ten years.
The money comes from taxpayers.
There will be 630 new school buses on the roads by the end of the year.
The state has about 5600 buses in its fleet. Some are more than 20 years old and have about 250,000 miles on them.
