AUGUSTA, Ga.---You have a good reason to break a plate on purpose this weekend. The 19th annual Greek Festival is going on through Sunday.

They have food, dancing, and lots of Greek culture to entice everyone to come.

The food will really makes mouths water, from lamb to baklava and much more. Food plays a big part in the Greek culture.

Dance is also very important. They have traditional dancers all weekend, as well as some modern ones, and this year there's also a belly dancer.

"We have professionals that dance and the people love it," said cook Harry Pappas. "They eat and drink and they enjoy it."

Crafts and imported goods are displayed and for sale, to bring a little Greek culture to your home or wardrobe.

"It's new culture, it's something new that they're not used to, and it's just different. And it's Greek...who doesn't like Greek, right?" said Eftihia Kountakis.

The festival runs through Sunday at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at Telfair and Ninth in downtown Augusta. Admission is free.

You don't have to worry about missing football, either. They'll be playing the games and even have Greek-style chicken wings.
