Aiken County sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for the person or people who robbed a gas station in Beech Island.
It happened at Todd's Food Store, 1181 Sand Bar Ferry Road, Beech Island at around 3:45 p.m.
Four masked men, armed with handguns, ran into the business. They demanded, but did not receive any money from the clerk behind the counter. Two men then tried to kick open the door to an office at the back of the store, but were unsuccessful. A store owner fired a single shot at the men and shattered a window. The men then ran out of the store and sped away in a white Chevrolet Blazer.
Aiken County Emergency Medical Services transported an employee to University Hospital in Augusta as a precaution.
ACSO deputies found the truck, reported stolen from Richmond County, behind an abandoned home on Swamp Road in Beech Island.
