A prisoner escaped while on work detail at Magnolia Springs State Park near Millen in Jenkins County. Nikus Bailey, 18, was recaptured at around 5:00 p.m.
Burke County officers helped Jenkins County search for Bailey, along with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
Bailey is serving a year for burglary and criminal trespass at Emanuel County Probation Detention Center.
