Armed robbery at North Augusta Circle K

An armed robbery occurred at the Circle K Station at 226 Georgia Avenue in North Augusta shortly after midnight Wednesday morning, June 14.

The suspect was a black male described as 6ft./140lbs. He was last seen wearing red and blue plaid pajama-style cotton pants and a black hooded pullover sweatshirt with a large “CORONA" logo on the back. He had white tennis shoes with dark shoe strings.

The suspect fled the area on foot with approximately $50 in cash to an awaiting getaway vehicle. Nobody was hurt. Aiken County Bloodhounds responded but followed a possible track only to the rear of the store.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety Division of Criminal Investigations is asking that anyone who can recognize this sweatshirt or knows anyone that has a black hooded pullover like it to contact Det. Baskins with NADPS at 441-4280.
