AIKEN COUNTY, S.C.---The Aiken County Sheriff's Office has set up a perimeter in search of an armed robber. The perimeter stretches from Highway 25 to Highway 126, but the main focus is on Saint James Street. Bloodhounds have been brought in to help search the area.

Deputies say a woman was robbed while trying to make an overnight deposit at the Bank of America at 315 Edgefield Road. The incident happened around 9 o'clock. They say the robber demanded money while pointing a gun at the woman. She was not harmed.

The suspect is described as a black male about 5'11'' and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, a black polo shirt and a bandana over his face.

If you have any information you are asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

you can not make a deposit to an ATM. you can make one at the deposit drop box. that is what the deposit drop box is for when the banks are closed. most companies make it protocol to have 2 people when dropping money at the bank. but yeah, i see what you are trying to say. but, you know i have heard of more bank robberies during the banking hours than i have of a robberies concerning someone who was dropping money at the deposit drop box.
