Deputies search for armed robber
Aiken County sheriff's deputies are searching for an armed robber after a woman was robbed at the Bank of America off of Edgefield Road and St. James Street.

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C.---The Aiken County Sheriff's Office has set up a perimeter in search of an armed robber. The perimeter stretches from Highway 25 to Highway 126, but the main focus is on Saint James Street. Bloodhounds have been brought in to help search the area.

Deputies say a woman was robbed while trying to make an overnight deposit at the Bank of America at 315 Edgefield Road. The incident happened around 9 o'clock. They say the robber demanded money while pointing a gun at the woman. She was not harmed.

The suspect is described as a black male about 5'11'' and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, a black polo shirt and a bandana over his face.
