Armed robbery at Food Lion on Washington Road

An ambulance was called to the Food Lion on Washington Road after an armed robbery there.

At around 9:00 p.m. June 13, a man wearing a mask and brandishing a handgun robbed the Food Lion before escaping in a white Ford Explorer.

No word yet on any injuries.
