An investigation is ongoing as to why one of the organizers of the James Brown Music Festival was found in a hotel room with stolen money orders.
Anthony Page was arrested the final day of the festival, May 28, on Gordon Highway.
Deputies say Page was at the Adams Super Inn on Gordon Highway when they arrived responding to a call. They say Page barricaded himself in the bathroom.
On a counter in that room were more than 200 money orders that were reported taken from Global Express back in 1999.
Page was on the James Brown Music Festival's 'We Feel Good' committee.
Today, Champ Walker responded to Page's arrest: " Anthony is not that type of guy. I stand behind him 100%."
Investigators say they are not aware of a connection between the money orders and the music festival.
