A former Richmond County middle school teacher accused of allowing older students to beat younger ones is in jail.
Maurice Wallace was arrested Tuesday.
He now faces charges of charges of cruelty to children and not reporting child abuse.
Wallace recently resigned from his teaching job at Sego Middle School.
He's accused of sending younger students who acted up in class to a closet at the school, where older students hit them.
