AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Three people are in the hospital after a multiple-car accident shut down lanes of Mike Padgett Highway Thursday morning.
Just before 8:30 a.m., a white Lincoln attempted to make a u-turn on Mike Padgett near Phinizy Road. The car struck a silver Mazda, which ended up in the center lane. The scene then caused another Mazda to rear end the Lincoln.
The victims' injuries are not said to be life threatening.
Traffic was stopped in all northbound lanes as crews cleaned up the mess.
