3 people sent to the hospital after Edgefield Road accident

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) --Three people were taken to the hospital after an accident on Edgefield Road around 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, according to North Augusta Public Safety.

One vehicle rolled over and officers had to use the jaws of life to get one passenger out, Lt. Tim Thornton with Public Safety said. Thornton said all three people injured were taken to MCG for treatment with non life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was backed up in the area for about an hour, Public Safety said. The cause of the crash is under investigation and there's no word on any charges.
