RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has confirmed three bodies were found in the woods near the intersection of Isaac Way and Jonathan Place.

Richmond County firefighters found three bodies on fire around noon. Deputies say the deceased are two back males and one black female. They are believed to be between 17 and 40 years old.

The case is being investigated as a murder and arson.

Glenn Allen, spokesman for the Georgia Insurance and Fire Commissioner’s Office, says Richmond County has requested the State Fire Marshal’s assistance in the investigation.

If you know of anyone who has gone missing within the past 30 days, call the Sheriff's Office.
