3 arrested on burglary charges after being caught inside Aiken home

AIKEN, S.C. -- Aiken Department of Public Safety officers made three arrests after catching three suspects inside a home on Fairfield Street.

The officers responded to the home after a burglary alarm went off around 1 a.m.

At the scene, they found a broken window and saw one of the suspects run away from the window. Another officer saw one of the suspects trying to jump out a window to escape.

Officers surrounded the home and ordered the suspects to come outside, but the suspects did not comply at first.

Eventually, officers were able to arrest 22-year-old Dawayne Tavoris Nickerson, 18-year-old Allen Thyshawn Johnson and 22-year-old Michael Fuller on first-degree burglary charges. All three suspects are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.
