3 arrested for trafficking black tar heroin within 1,000 feet of a school

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Three drug-related search warrants uncovered almost 10 ounces of black tar heroin, nearly $24,000 and three cars, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Narcotics Division and United States Drug Enforcement Administration agents found 9.25 ounces of black tar heroin.

Michael Avery, 31, Jason Davis, 46, and Dexter Hunter, 21, have been charged with trafficking heroin and trafficking heroin within 1,000 feet of a school (Warren Rd Elementary School).
