3 arrested after six-month investigation; cocaine, guns found

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Three people are in jail after a six-month investigation into drug distribution in Richmond County, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said.

Search warrants were executed at homes on Steiner Avenue, Emmett Street and Swanee Quintet Boulevard on March 28.

Officers arrested Jerry Ulysses Cullars, 34, Lurline Tutt, 35, and Laporsha Williams, 26. About four pounds (1822.2 grams) of cocaine, half of a pound (192.2 grams) of crack cocaine, an assault rifle, a Glock 9mm which had been reported stolen, a vehicle, numerous electronics, jewelry and $17,469 were seized, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said.

Cullars was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.

Tutt was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.

Williams was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
