BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The second man accused of digging up graves at a century-old cemetery has been arrested.

Investigators say 39-year-old Jerry Atkinson was found inside a home on Hancock Landing Road in Burke County disguised as a woman wearing a wig and dress. They say Atkinson tried to run but was stopped.

Authorities had been trying to track him down since a close call on April 22 when he jumped out a back window and was able to escape.

Jerry Ralph Morris, 44, is being charged with harboring a fugitive.

The other suspect, Ralph "Bubba" Hillis, was arrested last month in Richmond County.

The five desecrated graves at the Old Church Cemetery were discovered on April 13. The Sheriff's Office says Atkinson and Hillis were identified after receiving multiple tips from the public.
