A fire investigation is underway after the destruction of an Augusta house.
It's the same house that was involved in a police standoff earlier this week.
The fire department tells News 12 it is still under investigation, but that no one was home and the fire started in a middle bedroom.
It all happened around 4:00 a.m.
Monday, Tonya Sims called deputies to report that her boyfriend, Johnny Lee Lewis, was abusing her.
Lewis then threatened deputies and himself for more than an hour before he was arrested.
There is no indication right now on whether the standoff and fire are related.
