Augusta's closed Pfizer Pharmaceuticals plant may have new life as an ethanol plant.
A New York company called Xethanol has signed a letter of intent with Pfizer to buy the 30 acre site. It hopes to produce 35 million gallons of ethanol a year there.
That would mean up to a hundred jobs.
If the deal is approved, it could take a year to renovate the plant.
