The manager of Augusta's Civic Center and Bell Auditorium is quitting.
Larry Rogers submitted his resignation the morning of May 23 at the Coliseum Authority's regular meeting.
It's effective July 23, almost three years to the day from when the authority hired Rogers.
Under a different regime, Rogers was the manager of the Civic Center for over a dozen years before he was fired in 1993.
He's come under consistent fire for failing to book entertainment shows into the Civic Center in recent years.
In 2003 the board hired Rogers after rejecting hiring a professional management company.
