Linda Schrenko has pled guilty to two counts: conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. She now faces 8 years in federal prison.
Schrenko's co-defendant Peter Steyn was not in court today, nor was his lawyer. Stephan Botes was in court, most likely in regards to the prosecution's request that he be fitted with a tracking anklet.
The jury had been sent home Tuesday and told to return Thursday.
Schrenko gave no indication of what was to come upon her arrival at court Wednesday. She smiled and said she just wanted to go home and play with her bassetts, and "be an old retired woman".
