August 29, 2008

About 5:45 a.m. Friday morning, a masked man, armed with a handgun, robbed the Circle K located at 315 Hitchcock Parkway in Aiken. He approached an employee and demanded money. The employee opened the cash register and the suspect walked behind the counter and removed money from the register tray. He then ordered the clerk to lie on the floor so he could leave.

The subject is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing a red, short sleeved shirt with yellow trim, blue jean shorts, black flip flops and a black cloth across his face.

The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team was called but there search did not result in an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office: (800) 922-9709. You can also call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME – SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1000.
