AUGUSTA, Ga.---The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has charged 2 juveniles, after the pair are found across from Academy of Richmond County High School with a backpack containing a sawed-off shotgun.

The incident started Thursday afternoon when the fire alarm was pulled at Academy of Richmond County about 1 p.m. School officials reviewed surveillance tape and identified a suspect. The 16-year old boy was spotted the street from the school with a 14-year old girl.

When police went to talk to the 2 teens, the boy took off and dropped a bookbag. Investigators found a sawed-off shotgun and bullets inside the bag.

Investigators eventually caught up to the boy. Officers say he was also had a knife. Now he and the girl are both charged with Transmitting a False Public Alarm. The boy is also facing a weapons charge. Investigators are still trying to determine if the 14-year old girl will face a weapons charge as well.

its really sad....my daughter goes to this school and is in the ib program and its sad to no she cnt get a education cause ignorant kids like this want to stop other kids from learning... and then they wonder why the caucasians call black folks ignorant these days and people wont hire us

How stupid can you get. If you are going to pull a fire alarm you need to leave campus and NOT come back to the school or leave school at 2:30 pm., or stay around the school campus and wait for you friends to come off school property.
