Friday, April 28, Augusta commissioner Richard Colclough officially gave up his seat in order to run for State House District 122.
That leaves a vacancy in the Augusta Commission for District 4.
Commissioners are expected to vote on the person to fill the seat in their next commission meeting on Tuesday.
The person selected for the position will hold the seat until an election is held.
That could come as early as July.
