36-year-old Michael Baskett was killed in an accident on Highway 25 in Edgefield County this afternoon.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Baskett was driving a stolen Toyota northbound on Highway 25 when he swerved in front of a tractor-trailer. The truck rolled over the car.
Baskett had several warrants for firearms violations.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital.
