The South Carolina highway patrol says a 43-year-old man died after a semi collided with a pickup truck Saturday afternoon, April 22.
It happened just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Atomic Road and Jefferson Davis Highway.
The pickup truck driver was traveling northbound when he crossed the median into the path of the oncoming tractor-trailer.
He was not wearing his seatbelt, and died at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Max Hinton, was not injured.
