The South Carolina Supreme Court will have to decide if a convicted child-killer, Junior Downs, can be executed.
Attorneys submitted written arguments to the court April 19.
Downs is requesting his appeals be dropped so the execution can proceed.
He was convicted and sentenced to die for molesting and murdering a 6-year-old near the Greeneway in North Augusta in 1999.
Downs is also serving a life sentence in Georgia for the murder of 10-year-old James Porter in 1991.
