Local case closed for Betty Neumar

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has received the results of testing conducted on the remains of John Neumar. Those results indicate higher than usual levels of barium, a heavy metal.

They reviewed his medical records and discussed the results of testing with his physicians, and came to the conclusion that the levels are consistent with and most likely a result of the medical treatment he received leading up to his death.

They stated that there has been no credible, independent evidence to suggest that John Neumar died of anything other than natural causes.

As a result, the sheriff's office has closed their investigation into the death of John Neumar.
