This is a time for celebration in North Augusta.
South Carolina's beautiful riverfront city is turning 100.
Today the city dedicated a new historic marker explaining the history of North Augusta, which was chartered in 1906, and buried a time capsule in Calhoun Park.
Inside the capsule is everything from a DVD with the city's comprehensive plan to a high school class ring to a menu from the Sno-Cap drive-in.
Tuesday evening, the city will host a Centennial Musical Review from 6:30 to 8:30 at Victory Baptist Church on Martintown Road.
There is a small admission charge.
