The waiting is over; North Augusta's riverfront is getting a new look.
The first homes are going up in the Hammonds Ferry development.
That's west of the 13th Street Bridge.
The community is on a 200-acre site and will have about 800 living spaces, including homes, apartments, and condominiums.
