A pilot is in stable condition after his F-16 fighter jet crashed in the Atlantic Ocean about 35 miles off Myrtle Beach.
The crash happened Wednesday.
The pilot ejected and parachuted safely into the water.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment and appears to be in stable condition.
The Air Force says the jet was on a training mission from Shaw Air Force Base when it went down.
The crash will be investigated by a board of officers.
