A North Augusta woman is in jail after allegedly leaving her 15-month-old child locked in a car, causing the child's death.
35-year-old Karla Edwards is charged with homicide by child abuse after reportedly leaving the child in a car for 9 hours.
The child died from dehydration.
Edwards left for work at 7:00 Wednesday morning and returned to the car at 4 o'clock.
She has a bond hearing Thursday.
