AUGUSTA, Ga.---Deputies in Richmond County are trying to track down a violent carjacker.

It happened on Marks Church Road, near the Augusta Exchange Shopping Center. Investigators say a man agreed to give another man a ride home from a Wal-Mart. When they got to the house, authorities say the man demanded the driver's wallet, then shot him in the stomach and pulled him out of the car.

Deputies are looking for a white 2007 Chrysler 300 with an unknown tag.

If you've seen this vehicle, or know anything about the shooting, please call Richmond County authorities at 706-821-1080.
