The party has officially begun at Augusta restaurants and nightclubs, with golf fans swinging by for some food and fun.
News 12's Kate Tillotson was out following the crowd Monday night.
After hours of remaining quiet on the golf course, golf fans were out in full force Monday night with lots of predictions and lots of energy.
"We come in, hang out, party," said David Gresham of Carrollton, Georgia.
"Oh I'm just excited about going out seeing the course and seeing all the players. It's gonna be a great day tomorrow. We're excited about it," said Lou Patten of Cleveland, Tennessee.
The excitement is drawing fans from far and wide - including Al Graf from Ohio. Al had a rough day after being kicked off the course for having a cell phone.
"I'm guilty," Al told us.
"So, security was on you in a flash?" we asked.
"Security was outstanding. I barely got it up and the sun reflected off it," Al said.
"He swept down on him like a Navy Seal. It was a thing of beauty, I gotta tell ya," said.
Kent Hamilton was out Monday night as well. Kent is the father of Todd Hamilton, the British Open champ also playing this week.
"Todd has not played very well this year, but as far as golf is concerned you can turn around tomorrow...and it can just turn around in a day's time," Kent said.
We know who Kent's favorite is...but what about other predictions?
"Jose Maria Olazabal," said one fan emphatically.
"Phil Mickelson, because I'm from Atlanta and he dominated in Atlanta last week," said Paul Mulkey of Dallas, Texas.
Hooters was definitely rockin' Monday night, as was downtown Augusta.
The fun continues all week long, with the Drive for Show, Rock Fore Dough concert Tuesday night. It's hosted by First Tee.
