Augusta, GA--

This is the weekend for the drag boat races in Augusta on the Savannah River.

Drivers are practicing Friday, and the Southern Nationals wouldn't be complete without the "Night of Fire."

That's Friday at 7 p.m. on the Augusta Common. Drivers will bring the boats there and put them on display. The engines will be started, and you can see the flames and the roar of the exhaust.

The actual races are on the river Saturday and Sunday.
