A defense request to throw out the murder charges against accused courthouse gunman Brian Nichols is among several motions that will be argued this week in Atlanta.
Hearings that start Monday will also address defense motions to exclude Nichols' statements to police, prevent local sheriff's deputies from acting as bailiffs at his trial, make prosecutors reveal certain evidence they might use, and protect the defendant's right to counsel.
