AIKEN, S.C.---An accident on the 400 block of Monetta Street and Banks Mill Road in Aiken has left one person dead. It happened around 10:30 Sunday night.
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton tells us the passenger of the car, 21-year-old Andre Garrett, wasn't wearing a seatbelt, and was killed after being thrown from the car.
Investigators say the two men were driving north on Monetta Street when the vehicle hit a tree and flipped over. The driver of the car, Brandon Curry, went to the hospital, but we don't know the extent of his injuries right now.
Toxicology reports on both men are in the works this morning.
