Charleston man accused of indecent exposure and attacking officers with nunchucks appears in court

A Charleston man accused of indecent exposure and attacking officers with nunchucks appeared in court Wednesday.

Authorities said 49-year-old Claude Smith went next door to a neighbor's apartment to borrow some type of oil, but instead allegedly asked her to apply it on his body.

When police arrived on the scene, Smith - who had stripped naked by then and oiled his own body - attacked officers with a pair of nunchucks.

Authorities say they had a difficult time arresting Smith because of the slippery oil.
