It happened about 7 o'clock Wednesday night near the Scottish Inn Motel.
The coroner has now identified her as Teresa Bell, who lived on Evans to Lock Road.
Officers say she was staying at the hotel, and decided to cross the busy highway to a convenience store.
On her return trip the van struck her.
No word yet if any charges will be filed in this accident.
